HMG's a small rural kennel and cattery where personal care and attention is very important to us. I like to get to know your pets, wanting to be sure they are happy to return.
I have been operating the kennel since the December 2002 and cattery was open in August 2013.
I can assure you that your pets will be taken care of as if they were my own with lots of love and attention. I provide a safe, roomy and social environment in a rural setting and cater for all sizes and ages of pets.
Please note I do not offer doggy daycare only overnight boarding for dogs.
Our cattery has been purposely built with all of the home comforts for your cat.
Drop off and Collection of your pet is by appointment only between these hours only
8.30 AM TO 10.00 AM AND 3.00 PM TO 5.30 PM but
This means that if you are dropping off or collecting a pet you need to be here before 10.00 am and 5.30 pm please.
WE ARE CLOSED WEDNESDAY MORNINGS, CHRISTMAS DAY, BOXING DAY AND NEW YEARS DAY.

We will be closed from the 14th October until the 18th October 2024,
open again from the morning of the 19th October.
There is a pick up and delivery option via Top Vets in Kaitaia for cats and some dogs, please see full details on the conditions for boarding page.
For the safety of everyone, especially our cats, can you please make sure that your dog or dogs are on leads before bringing them out of your car.
Please ensure that your cat is in an appropriate cat cage
Can you please read the vaccination requirements for boarding our pet with us, there are no exemptions to these conditions.

All bookings, either confirmed or pending, are subject to our Terms & Conditions below. Request of a booking constitutes acceptance of the terms each time you use our services.
Please read our terms and conditions and remember that by leaving your pet in our care it is deemed you have accepted our terms and conditions of boarding.
Canine Cough (Kennel Cough)
If your dog is coughing, sneezing or has 'the doggy flu' or has been around another dog that has been coughing please do not bring them into our kennels.
Canine Cough is highly contagious and can spread anywhere dogs are, so it is very important for every other dog in our care (plus my own dogs) that you keep your dog at home and isolated from other dogs.
Please note that I run this business on my own, so for any new clients if you have expectations of me being here 24 hours a day, please do not book your pets in here as that is not at all possible.
Covid-19 Policies and Procedures
If you are sick or a member of your family is sick can you please let us know and we can make arrangements for a ‘contactless’ handover of your pet.
